First three seconds of your reel kind of have to do the job of a Youtube thumbnail and title.

What do they do on Youtube?

They tell you what the video is about and why should the person watch it.

Basically, if it is a motivational video, it will have some title and that title usually says hey, if you are facing challenges with motivation, you should do this.

And we literally have to say just that in Reels.

Basically, first three seconds you have to announce what the video is going to be about, what problem is going to be solved, and what’s in it for them.

On Youtube, people have some intent behind their click

But on reels they just get your video on their screen.

So without that intent they just don’t know what this is about

And if they get impatient they will leave.

So you have to tell them what’s in it right at the beginning. Literally.

You have to say it out loud and have text doing that too.
