You want to hold a position

(you wanna be like cnn or fox news and not tldr news or dur darshan)

we cannot rely on the merit of stories to build a base

we hold a position, find facts or stories and then we process them into a story to sell OUR position

relying just on stories puts creative and logistical pressure on us

story is a means to an end

story themselves as primary will risk ruin

you will rarely find stories so intense people follow

but you will find position people follow and actors sponsor

treat stories like raw material and YOUR flagship product

your POSITION is your flagship

so whats the position you want?

because just refining stories w NO direction will give you a vague bs non profitable position

Thats why politicians can yap for days (filibuster) but i cannot for minutes

be pro ai , pro tax the elderly, pro steal the candy from children for all i care

Just have position

“i am expert” is no position, bias or stance is

expertise is a tool to legitimise the position thiugh not always necessary

afterall, what position does a professor has? none for he is an unbiased expert

with the lack of position comes lack of influence or backing

knowledge increases capacity to yap but plateaus but bias is a multiplier

So have a bit of knowledge and a shit ton of bias. Develop your position. Hopefully your position is something people can rally behind and something the actors will wanna sponsor.

Whatever is currently gaining traction can become your position. For example AI agents are hot right now.

So position in bias of AI agents can help you a lot.

You can spin every story to help you out. And if you hold a bit of neutrality and skepticism, you become credible enough that you attract sponsors.

But the problem is with AI you kind of need to have some skin in the game and the tokens are really expensive for me so I need to keep thinking about angles.
