For the dreamers

when it comes to marketing, business or finance content, people are looking for the extremes, the tipping points, and what made it happen. Because they understand that they have a life, and it’s not going to change easily. They want to need extreme events, and they are on the hunt for extreme event where somehow they have a eureka moment and they do something and everything changes quick as fuck. They are trying to get rich quick, right? So we need to match their pace.

I think what actually garners attention about finance is the extremes, that is what is interesting. Like the most profitable company ever turns out to be fraud. or the genius prodigy from situational awareness makes a really dumb mistake and loses a lot of money.

I think that’s what cycles through the finance circle, the spectacles.

They couldn’t care less about business or financial literacy. They want to look for analogies or weird glitches in system that they think they can look at and exploit and apply for themselves. Or even if they are not looking forward to apply it themselves, they would rather watch these glitches than. The normal boring stuff like their counterparts in computer science might like in computer science we might see that people are okay with watching slow explainers of most niche topic also but that is not the case for Finance or marketing, unless you are going for some exam like CFA.

You almost have to make it sound like you are talking about glitches in Metrics or we switch it or this feels almost illegal but works type things. These people don’t want to learn. They kind of have an image that they will just consume a bit of things and they will become savants and everything will be intuitive to them. So they are more drawn towards stories.

It’s like essentially a business/finance story time content which somehow smuggles in a concept explainer
