a low agency person is inherently very Inwards looking. They are very worried about their energy level, their tiredness their body, their looks or whatever the primary thought inside their heads are all simulations of the energy that is going on within their body. So 99.99% of the thoughts are very self oriented.
A high agency person is very very very outwards looking. Most of the times they will concern themselves with the system of creation that they are engaged in or creation of that system of creation, and does the audience like whatever that system is producing? A student that is high agency will be concerned with his study technique and if the evaluator likes his answers. An entrepreneur will be very concerned about his business process and what his audience, that is the customer, think about him. What do the investors think about him and his process of creation?
A low agency student on the other hand will be overwhelmed by hey I don’t have the energy to study hey I cannot study I don’t have the cognitive bandwidth blah blah blah it will be very me centric but on the other hand the high agency student will be all about the process of creation and the audience.
Don’t want to be toxic and say that hey bottle it all up blah blah blah. But I think when you really really are in a state of high agency and flow, you will naturally care more about your process of creation and your audience than yourself. You will lose yourself in that process. And of course, um, you will look inwards, and most of the times it will be about hey, let’s evaluate whether the system that I’m engaging in is it worth investing more in? Do I feel good in it? Does my audience like it? There will be moments of peace, self-reflection, and enjoyment, and just living life as a human as well in there. But you will not overdo the inwards looking thing.
High agency people are selfless in a selfish way. They can’t think much about themselves. They will obsessively think about their audience and their systems. But at the end of the day, it’s all for the benefit of them only. So they are doing themselves a favor, and it’s fantastic mentally to be a high agency person.
