All right, happy birthday to me and it is important to reflect back and realize I can do things differently, get more out of it, and still be less tired and be more happy.
Since the last three years I have gotten into the idea that hey grind it out, think all the time, work all the time, and it was all misguided in a process where everything was not systematic.
It’s like I was just pushing volume through a ambiguous blob of whatever the hell i thought next step should be.
While I am still a really big fan of emergence, serendipity, and doing without knowing what exactly is the next step, but you got to have a system to decide that next step. You are not supposed to just wing it, wing it. You are supposed to wing it with some rhyme behind it.
And I used to think that I have to think and do on my own to get it all. That I I will be the one person behind the thing that will change everything for me. I understand that is naive now. If how I operate. All comes from my own strategizing and my own thinking. Then I believe that is too slow to synthesize all the knowledge I will need to succeed, and then to apply it is really inefficient. What I understand now is. I can write a blog for two years, and what our knowledge is in that blog can be surpassed by one book written by a master of craft, which is kind of niche. Okay, you don’t have to go for those popular books. They are almost, almost always trashy. You want to go for niche, underground classics type thing that actually show the Master at craft talk about it.
In a way, I realize that my own synthesis of what to do or how to do or my own frameworks are redundant given already out there exists things that are far better than me. And to reach to that level on my own will require years and shit ton of opportunity cost. When what I should be doing is Figure out what to do next, figure out the knowledge or process required to do that, and rip it off from the masters.
So, ninety percent of my mental energy was going into thinking, simulating frameworks instead of building something. That can finally stop. I can focus more on production side of things.
Essentially, what I realize is, for the last two three years, I strained myself a lot, and it was not optimal. Whatever I produced with that strain is subpar given what I could have already just extracted from the world.
This is why I am focusing more and more now on resource allocation because we can live a really really chill, relax and nice life and still accomplish more than some of the most hardworking people on this planet. It’s all about resource allocation.
All right, the basic rule of thumb now comes out is that if you wanna do something instead of thinking about it on your own, just take four five books, get AI summary, extract the framework out of it, and get to shipping. Essentially, thinking and learning might not be the best use of resources given how good technology now has become with AI.
And now that is done, I will think of production more in terms of a building a system, pumping volume through that system, diagnosing some part of system if the product is not as per expectation, researching what can fix the diagnosed part. And that just means figuring out which book can help us most, then implement it and test if it has improved anything. That’s all. So basically, before I had unlimited possibilities, now the game only has five six valid moves, and if I weigh them properly, there are going to be at most one or two most probable moves that I’m going to make. The whole thing has become more predictable and less cognitive load on me. It’s all about just executing the thing. Plus, I have done thousands of reps in each of these actions by now anyway. So it’s not like I I will struggle to get those steps executed.
So, it is easier to figure out what to do, and it’s easier to do it. And the learning curve is always going to be way short because I’m not internalizing much of the knowledge. It’s for my system to absorb.
So on my 24th birthday, the gift I’m giving myself is leverage. Getting done more without having to figure out what to do next, and without putting myself under the strain of learning what just my system needs, not me as a person.
And hopefully, I stop living this weird as lifestyle where I’m very hermetic and just trying to learn, learn, learn and produce and produce and produce without actually getting anything out there. I hope this thing will boost the production without straining myself as much I used to do before. Come on man, we are in the era of AI. And the product you are making is still same. You you make media, sixty second videos. All these videos are finite. They don’t need infinite steps to be made. And you can outsource a lot of it. And since now you will have way easier time to get that done as well, and you will know what to do next.
Whatever. Spend less energy on thinking and deciding. Get most of the work done using the systems you have made and go enjoy life, man. Go join a gym. Go for a fucking walk. Talk with people. Don’t live life like this.
Basically all that you can think of or all that you can formulate as a theory or go on and research on your own. Somebody has already done it way better than you can given the amount of efforts you are going to put. Basically, you are going to at max have a budget of two days for this thing, and someone has spent like majority of their life experience to make a book. So basically, what I’m saying is, if your first move should be to just get a fucking book from someone who knows the shit instead of trying to figure it out yourself. Your thinking, your research. A lot of things pale in comparison to what ever exists out there right this moment.
Decide the desired output.
Find the current bottleneck.
Find the master who already understood it.
extract their useful machinery.
Install it in our system.
Ship and inspect what happened.
Like think about it bro. The best and the biggest thing happening in the world right now is AI. And did it happen out of nowhere? What did they train it on? They trained it on existing fucking material and books. They did not make the AI come up with everything. It has fucking data sets that teach it the best things. You cannot really build things from scratch. You gotta inherit the best and wield it to get the results you want. Don’t spend your time on being fucking novel or being generative. Inherit and wield.
