eyes and 13 mins

I blindfolded myself for thirteen minutes and I was like, okay, imagine it’s two thousand and sixteen and you are launching OnePlus phone. How would you do that? First of all, I realized that as I have gotten older, I have stopped gaming much and I don’t really have time to track specs and all. Okay, most of my phone usage is just videos, emails, and a bit of camera. So if I’m OnePlus I just know that I really cannot invest in camera because it’s 2016. I can just get whatever I can and software is not like I can just wipe code some algorithm that will make image ten times better like we can do now. So okay, I cannot play with camera too much and the older generation like I said I’m 24 now and I don’t game much. So since I cannot play on the basis of camera and I cannot appeal the upper market based on like higher specifications. I will have to think of other things. Then what is left? Then what is left is hardware. Okay, I will hire. Sorry, I will give better hardware at a cheaper cost. Or okay, and camera can be mediocre. So who exactly cares about higher specs on a mobile phone? Well, it’s gamers and tech enthusiasts. So. gamer can be a kid, a college boy or a young adult who has not totally faced the brunt of adulthood yet. Okay, so the child gamer it’s like he will play on his parents’ phone and we are already not able to target them very effectively because we already said those guys want to go to camera and they don’t keep up with features and all so, or features and specifications and all so it’s very hard to capture those. Okay, so who are left? It is the young adult and the college student. So we can filter it now to twenty nineteen to twenty five year olds. Okay. And then what are the worlds of these two people? Nineteen to twenty five year olds. It is late college and early corporate. Okay. And what are the elements in those worlds? One is Lectures, commute, friends, gaming, internet, tinkering with controls. Okay. Maybe a bit of video editing and stuff. And if it is corporate, then it is about all those things plus emails and stuff. So the two ICPs that emerge are late into the bachelor’s degree, like second year forward, and early corporate, like at max two or three years of workex. Okay. So these are the two lifestyles that we are supposed to target for. So I think OnePlus has also made A day in life video of a college student where they show this whole thing like how the whole phone last and how cool the life of that guy is. Same corporate version can also be made, and of course we can distribute our product to tech influencers so that they can also talk about it. And finally, like I said, commuting is a big thing for these guys. So these guys are not living in Upper Manhattan, right? They are on the outskirts. So We we can track down where what are the hubs of young professionals and college students and put up the advertisements on the commutes and commute vehicles. So UGC wise, it’s not going to be much. You don’t really want to hear randos talk about a phone. So UGC is not the thing here. Thing is tech influencers. Then there is commute. Advertisements, then there is if possible game related partnerships, and finally these guys have a certain type of credit cards and whatnot, right? Maybe targeting a lower end network carrier as a partner or stuff like that. So that is the marketing strategy
