just because you built an explanation for yourself using first principles doesn’t mean its universally transmittable. We cannot forget that first principle derivations are context chains and people are allergic to them. Context chain meaning to get n you must understand n-1. Same reason why people dont like textbooks but like mangas more because the context chains can be skipped alot of times.

To get attention. Use their words, their world models, use their popular shit, their feelings, their knowledge, their entry points. Take whatever they have and build miracles. i mean this is what our frame works were missing. we were describing wrong shapes but never set the constraint to limit to what the audience already knows and experiences.

This way, whatever you say. People just get it. Way easier to persuade and gather attention this way. You are just nudging them in a direction this way instead of making them learn your bullshit first then think then get influenced.

The questions then becomes, can i explain xyz using only what a 5th grader knows, does and feels? Can i do it with only what a 25 yo corpo slave knows, does and feels? Can i do it only with what is intrinsic to my icp?

For that have an inventory of what people are and also a way to run it on demand when need arises when inventory falls short.

Essentially whatever you say, the packaging has to be made out of things that are intrinsic to your audience. Packaging made entirely of:

Language: Words and expressions they already use.
Objects: Things they encounter in everyday life.
Experiences: Situations they’ve personally experienced.
Feelings: Emotions they recognise.
World models: Systems and relationships they already understand.
References: People, brands, culture and media they know.
Desires: Things they aspire to or want to avoid.

The actual subject can be completely unfamiliar. The packaging shouldn’t be. Never make the audience enter an unfamiliar world to receive your message. Build the packaging inside the world they already inhabit.

Sometimes you will realise that the explanation you came up with using first principles to understand the thing yourself is soooo different than what the packaged media looks like. Something that you could have never up with on your own. well thats the point of system. You generate on your own and then a process turns it into what people could want.

We discover through our own mental models. We communicate through theirs.

I think it is just fucking pattern recognition, you know. Like, we want to be right, we want to predict things. So if a new piece of information is being delivered, wrapped around in things we already know, we feel like, hey, pattern recognition let’s go. This, this is so fucking genius.

You activate whatever is in their head. You activate what excites them and what is popular. So it’s like, it creates emotional investment and as well as low friction thinking. And then you’re like, hey, this is exactly how this other thing is as well. That’s why associations, pattern recognition, playing around with whatever is intrinsic to them is so fucking rewarding.

Using exclusively the intrinsic allows you to pull two levers at once: emotional activation as well as low cost thinking, low friction thinking, low cognition thinking. We are able to give them a high at a cheap cost. And also we are helping their monkey brain feel better about themselves by allowing them to make associations with things to activate that pattern recognition brain.
