I don’t know why I didn’t start doing it before. Scripts that are circular and looping are amazing.
They can boost your watch time by a lot and thus garner much more attention on the internet by providing you greater reach.
But they are very peculiar in nature, so my scripts will need a structural change. Right now, we have hook at the start. Hooks are something that we cannot change or toy much with. So, hook, then my introduction, then the value or the journey that I am narrating, and I think at the end, I can just get away with saying “that’s why,” and then we end up on the loop again.
I need to figure out how I can use words to loop back to the hook in a satisfactory way, even if it comes at the end of the conclusion, so that people are not upset.
Basically it should reinforce the hook and be using the value or the journey as the backing.
Plus for even better continuity in effect, the first thing you record should be your phrase that is circling back. So for the script I’m showing in the example, I should record it like, “This is exactly why I am deleting features that I spent weeks building for my SaaS.”
Oh, maybe that means that I should be using reassuring or emboldening statements like this at the start, which basically double down on what I am saying without mentioning anything.
Phrases like, “this is exactly why” and “that’s why i decided”
example
I’m deleting features that I spent weeks building for my SaaS.
I am a 23 year old studying at IIM Shillong and currently I am building Rohkun.
I thought more features is equal to a better product and that turns out to be a mistake.
Users need to understand your product and see value fast.
They will abandon you.
And confusion created by too many features can multiply this risk.
A simpler product is better than a product which people give up on midway.
And this is exactly why…
The viewer’s brain completes the circle: “Oh, THAT’S why he’s deleting features!” It creates a satisfying click of understanding that makes them want to watch again.
At the end of the article, I am attaching a list of circular loops you can use. But I would suggest that you first write a really strong hook, and then after that, you figure out the repeater and record it in one go. That’s way better than trying to construct your video around a pre-existing framework or example laid out here.

Why Recording the Loop-Back First is Great
When you record “This is exactly why I’m deleting features…” as your OPENING line, you’re creating:
- Seamless audio transition – No tonal shift between end and beginning
- Natural confidence – You sound more convicted because you’re stating it as a conclusion
- Better pacing – The energy matches because it literally IS the same moment
The Double-Duty Hook Structure
You’re right—these phrases work as BOTH hook and loop:
Conviction phrases:
- “This is exactly why…”
- “That’s why I decided…”
- “This is the reason I’m…”
- “And that’s when I realized I had to…”
They work because:
- At the START: Creates mystery (why WHAT?)
- At the END: Delivers payoff (OH, that’s why!)
Recording Order for Maximum Effect
Record in this sequence:
- Loop-back line (with conclusion energy): “This is exactly why I’m deleting features that I spent weeks building for my SaaS.”
- Introduction (reset, calmer): “I’m a 23-year-old studying at IIM Shillong…”
- Journey/Value: “I thought more features…”
- Bridge back: “And this is exactly why…” (or just cut straight to your first recording)
