I just realized that we have it wrong that the more someone has control over us, or the more the situation has control over us, the more we worry about it. In fact, we have the most fragile relationship with things of such nature, because if it ever exercises that power. Then that thing is going to get out of your life. Example, if you are in a college and are beefing with the director. The worst that guy can do is remove you, and then now he is not even your director. So all that was pinning it down has now unraveled, and it’s not like you will not find any other opportunity. You will be fine. Nothing’s gonna hurt you, baby. And I love CAS for making this. song
So the things that scare you the most are the most fragile and temporary things. What are actually durable and antifragile are things that you love, things that you care about. Those are the things that you should be thinking about and letting your decisions being guided by. Because whatever you are afraid of It’s a storm that’s going to pass in an instant and leave everything in its wake, and even after that, the sun is going to shine. But whatever you love is going to be with you persistently. It is going to be recurring. It is going to be omnipresent. So don’t think about your fears because you are literally thinking about the wrong thing.
Powers and threats can feel durable, while they are instant and overcomeable. While love and passion feels fickle, but it is the most durable and will survive anything. So focus on that. Let it guide you.
The position from which someone threatens us, if that threat is acted on, they unravel their own position. Your boss won’t stay your boss, your client won’t stay your client, your director won’t be your director, or Your landlord won’t be your landlord if they act out their threats. They lose a part of their identity too. So understand that every human, other than the ones you love, care, and have passion for, are really in a fickle position. The more extremes of power someone exercises, the more they lose the position that they previously occupied. So it is what it is, and basically what I’m saying is. Focus on what matters.
Don’t focus on fears and do what you gotta do.
Is especially empowering for people who are afraid of other people. Sure, the actions might cause harm, but the person is of no harm. It’s just another human. And no action by a human is big enough that it will permanently mess you up or anything. Nothing’s gonna hurt you, baby.
The president might have the nuclear option, but would he really remain president after he launches the nukes and there is nuclear armageddon? So the ultimate power is always the ultimate undoing of the person.
The worst threat the person carries is the same thing that can liberate you from it. Even if it’s a stalker or a gangster threatening to kill you, if he actually acts out on that threat, then he loses the position of being something of a danger to you. Can’t kill a horse twice. Like if you are afraid of your parents being disappointed, then if they are disappointed, then that’s all. The shot has been fired. Now there are no bullets left.
So don’t be afraid of people. Do what you gotta do, and yeah, chase your dreams twin.
