Going through the Boron letters right now. It’s like basically a guy in prisons who was a really good marketer, teaching his son about his craft. Really awesome shit.
One of the bangers by him is that if you could have any competitive advantage in a burger shop, I would ask for a starving crowd. Like come on bro, that that is just literal fire.
So the guy knew his shit, okay. And just the same way, I made my framework that okay, we will focus on the person and the desire they have, and then capture it into an object of desire and sell it to them. He has helped me refine the framework even more.
Like he said, he always wants to go for a starving crowd. So just because a person has a desire does not really mean they are on the same level as a starving crowd. He qualifies them by the actions and behaviors those guys have already taken.
For example, if I see my objective is to target a young guy in corporate who wants freedom and he does not have it, he can see it in his job. So he has a yearning for freedom and he thinks money is going to get him to that and to get that money he is going to go for a business and then I will just talk with him. So. Even though this thing has a lot of details, we can make it better using the things I read from Boron letters.
He would like me to enrich the person and the object that I’m selling even more. That okay, I just stopped at the desire before, right? That okay, this guy wants freedom, but that is not enough. That’s still very vague. He would classify those people into different categories by actions they have taken. Okay, this guy is stuck in corporate, um, but has bought three courses, or he has just quit and has six months of runway, or that guy has started a YouTube channel to gain an audience. So the specific desire. We should look for actions and behaviors as a proof of that desire because the one who has committed the most to it is the one most likely to invest in whatever offering you have. And your offering should not be just something vague like okay you cannot just say that okay I will just sell a course to them. No, you have to enrich that as well that your course might be give me seven weeks and I will teach you how to go from zero to hundred thousand dollars using copywriting.
So both the person and the object that you are going to sell have to be really really specific and they both have to match and product market fit won’t be much of an issue here because you have seen all the evidence for it. It’s not like you are just going to conclude that hey this corporate guy there might be archetype of him where he has bought three courses. No you look for evidence of it.
Actually, for each step that I mentioned before, there were a lot of things that were missing specifics. After reading the Boron letters, I have much clear idea of what I need to do.It’s like I had drawn a vague outline of a city, and this guy is giving me details down to the closet level of each house in the city.
You know what? I’ll be honest. All what I’ve written over the months to get to a framework, this guy mocks me out of the fucking oblivion. My system is like only thirty, forty percent complete compared to his. I’m just switching over to this. Obviously, I understand the value of boron letters more because the forty percent was really hard earned for me, and I get what he is saying. It’s really intuitive for me.
